The Adult Care Level 2 course is ideal for new entrants to the care sector, current care workers seeking qualifications, career changers, volunteers, unemployed individuals improving job prospects, and school leavers. It provides essential training in communication, health and safety, person-centred care, and safeguarding, making it a valuable entry point for anyone wishing to work in adult care.
The apprenticeship is structured to combine on-the-job training with classroom-based learning. You’ll spend most of your time working in an early years setting, where you’ll apply your learning in a practical context. This is complemented by study sessions, workshops, or online learning modules that cover the theoretical aspects of childcare. Assessment will be ongoing and based on your performance in the workplace, the quality of your portfolio, and any formal examinations or observations.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll be supported by both your employer and an apprenticeship tutor. Your tutor will work closely with you to ensure you’re meeting your learning objectives and provide additional guidance where needed.
One of the key benefits of this apprenticeship is the ability to earn while you learn. You’ll receive a salary as you gain valuable hands-on experience in a real work environment, supported by both your employer and training provider. This apprenticeship also provides a clear pathway for career progression. Upon completion, you could move into roles such as Early Years Educator or Room Leader, or continue your studies with a Level 3 apprenticeship.

Another benefit is the comprehensive support you’ll receive throughout the programme. You’ll have access to experienced mentors and trainers who will guide you through your learning journey, ensuring you develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in your role.
Applying for this apprenticeship is straightforward. You can submit your application online through our website, where you’ll need to provide some basic information and a brief explanation of why you’re interested in the programme. After submitting your application, you may be invited for an interview or an assessment to determine your suitability for the apprenticeship. We recommend applying early, as spaces are often limited.
